Working History

July 2005-Present:         Tesco, Hemel Hempstead
                                       General assistant - Part-Time
Bakery assistant - Full-Time

During my time at Tesco I have learnt a variety of skills.  Whilst working in the bakery I was part of a team, this encouraged me to develop my team building skills and for everyone to work with a sense of urgency given the raw materials to shelf timescales involved.

From working on the shop floor I have developed a good customer service manner with both customers and colleagues.  Frequently I am put in charge of the produce department, during busy weekends this involves being a team lead for several colleagues in my department.  This role means I am also responsible for ordering stock, stock taking and other daily administrative duties, all of which have taught to deal with paper work in a prompt and detailed manner

Due to my adaptability I have been trained to work in multiple areas of the stores, including tills, which requires working quickly and efficiently to keep customer waiting time to a minimum.

2000 - April 2002:         PSCI Ltd., London and surrounding areas
                                       Assistant - Part-Time/Contract
Whilst at PSCI I worked installing Category 5e structured cabling at customer sites, involving laying the cables, racking patch panels and rigorous testing of both.

Depending on the customer, work was either carried out during daytime or out of hours periods, both had various aspects to consider while working.  For example during daytime hours noise and disruption had to be kept to a minimum.  Health and safety aspects always had to be considered as frequently floor tiles would need to be lifted or a ladder used to access ceiling voids.

This work frequently involved working long hours to finish the job within set time limits, as well as changes to ongoing plan changes such as different socket locations or more sockets required.

Personal Attributes

I am a sociable, hard worker, who works quickly on any project I am given.  I enjoy the idea of working within a like minded company, where I can put my computing skills to good use.

Part of my skills range include problem solving and challenges as I believe that you really can learn something new everyday. In my personal time I like to watch films, socialise and the occasional game of pool.
